The French Ski Federation (FFS) has announced the first selections for the season’s Biathlon World Cup in Östersund.
France’s national team selections
for the Östersund Biathlon World Cup are now confirmed. According to FFS, 13 athletes have been selected for Östersund: seven women and six men.
Julia Simon, who is serving a suspension, is not included in the team.
In addition to star names
Justine Braisaz-Bouchet,
Lou Jeanmonnot, and
Oceane Michelon, the team features several promising young talents.
Amandine Mengin won four medals out of five starts at the 2025 Junior World Championships, finishing fourth in her last race.
Camille Bened, meanwhile, won the IBU Cup last season.
Both are ready to step up immediately to the top tier at the World Cup level.
On the men’s side, France brings a familiar and experienced lineup, led by
Eric Perrot and
Quentin Fillon Maillet.
