The 2023-2024 season of the Ski Classics marathon skiing series ends on Saturday, April 13th with the 100-kilometer long Janteloppet in Hafjell, Norway. Last year the race, developed by the skiing legend Petter Northug jr, belonged to the Challenger series of Ski Classics. Back then the race was only 20 km long.
Janteloppet belongs to the 200-point competition category of Ski Classics. In the final competition, points are distributed with a difference of one point to the 101 best skiers, so that the winner of the competition gets 200 points, the runner-up gets 199 points, and so on.
Full points are awarded for the sprint competition from the two sprint goals in Janteloppet.
