Sapporo in Japan hosts a women's FIS Ski Jumping World Cup weekend in early January 2023 and men's World Cup weekend two weeks later. Take a look at the Sapporo ski jumping event schedule and results.
Sapporo in Japan is a traditional
ski jumping and winter sports venue and an experienced host in the
FIS Ski Jumping World Cup. Sapporo premiered as a world cup host in the first season in 1980. Since then Sapporo has been a regular host in the ski jumping World Cup.
Sapporo has also hosted the
World Ski Championships in 2007 and the Winter Olympics in 1972.
In 2023 Sapporo hosts a women's World Cup weekend between 6th-8th of January and four days of men's World Cup between 20th and 22nd of January.
The large hill in Sapporo that is used in the World Cup competitions is called
Ōkurayama. It has a hill size is 137 metres. The hill record of 148,5 metres is held by Poland's
Kamil Stoch (jumped in 2019).

The women's World Cup weekend in Sapporo starts off with qualification on Friday and continues on Saturday individual large hill competition. On Sunday there's another qualification event as well as a second individual large hill competition are in schedule.
