Pokljuka Biathlon Word Cup 2027

The biathlon World Cup returns to Pokljuka, Slovenia at the start of 2027. Check out the schedule & results of the event.


Pokljuka is one of the most famous plateaus in Slovenia. The region's popularity is due to the fact that one of the world's most famous biathlon centers can be found in the beautiful region.

The Pokljuka winter sports center is located at an altitude of about 1000-1400 meters, 15 kilometers from the center of Bled or Bohinj. The scenic Triglav National Park can also be found in the same highlands as the Biathlon Center, so in addition to biathlon, it is also a wonderful tourist destination, especially for sports and nature lovers.

Competitions have been organized at the Pokljuka biathlon center since the 1990-1991 season, and the first biathlon World Cup event was held in the 1992-1993 season.

Pokljuka has organized the biathlon World Championships in 1998 (only pursuit), 2001, 2006 (mixed relay) and 2021.

In 2026/27 Pokljuka will host the first World Cup weekend of the year between the 2nd and 3rd of January 2027.
