The intense January of the Ski Classics marathon skiing series season 2025/26 culminates on Sunday, January 25th in Trentino, Italy to the classical race, Marcialonga. The 70 km long Marcialonga is the fourth race of the 2025-2026 season. The race is competed as a mass start in classics technique.
Marcialonga is a very traditional cross-country skiing event. In 2024, it will be competed for the 51st time. In addition to the 70 km long Ski Classics race, you can ski the 45 km long Marcialonga Light race at the event.
Marcialonga belongs to the 500-point Grand Classics competitions category of Ski Classics. The winner of the competition will thus be awarded 500 points.
The two sprint goals in Marcialonga will give with full sprint points for the sprint competition. The only climb goal gives higher than normal "iconic" points for the climb competition.
In addition to the Ski Classics prize money, Marcialonga rewards the best skiers with extra prizes. The winners of men's and women's race will get a nice prize of 5 300 €. Also the top3 sprinters will be awarded with a cash prize of 150€, 100€ and 50€.
