Vikersund in Norway is a traditional host of the
FIS Ski Jumping World Cup. The events in Vikersund are competed in the HS240 ski flying hill. Vikersund premiered in the World Cup circuit already in the opening season in 1980.
In the season 2022-2023 the World Cup weekend in Vikersund takes place between 17th and 19th of March 2023. The events complete the Raw Air Tournament that includes also the competitions in Oslo and Lillehammer during the previous week.
Vikersund has been a host for the
FIS Ski Flying World Championships five times in 1977, 1990, 2000, 2012 and 2022.
The ski jumping or flying hill in Vikersund has a hill size of the 240 meters. The Austrian jumper
Stefan Kraft holds the hill record with 253,5 metres which he jumped in 2017. Kraft's 253,5 meter jump is also the ski jumping world record.

The weekend in Vikersund consists of two qualification events and two individual competitions. The weekend kicks off with the qualification competition on Friday. The individual competitions are competed on Saturday and Sunday. Before the Sunday's competition another qualification is in schedule
