Bischofshofen in Austria is a classic ski jumping venue and an experienced host in the
FIS Ski Jumping World Cup. Bischofshofen traditionally hosts the fourth and final event of the German-Austrian
Four Hills Tournament on the 5th-6th of January and this season makes no difference.
Bischofshofen has been included in the world cup schedule since the beginning of the world cup in 1979-1980 and has been a regular host in the World Cup ever since.
Bischofshofen has hosted the final event of the Four Hills Tournament even longer, since the season 1952-1953.
The large hill in Bischofshofen Sepp Bradl-Skistadion that is used in the men's World Cup and the Four Hills competitions is called
Paul-Außerleitner-Schanze ("Paul Ausserleitner Hill"). It has a hill size is 142 metres. The hill record of 145 metres is held by Austria's
Gregor Schlierenzauer and Poland's
Dawid Kubacki (jumped in 2019).
After the Four Hills Tournament Bischofshofen hosts another men's World Cup weekend on the 8th adn 9th of January.
Bischofshofen Ski Jumping Four Hills Tournament 2022 - Schedule & timetables
In the season 2021-2022 Bischofshofen will host once again the final event of the men's Four Hills Tournament in the beginning of January.
The qualification for the Bischofshofen competition is scheduled for Wednesday the 5th and the individual large hill competition takes place on Thursday the 6th of January 2022.
