Garmisch-Partenkirchen hosts the second leg of the 4 Hills Tournament 2023-2024.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Germany is a well known ski jumping venue and an experienced host in the
FIS Ski Jumping World Cup. Garmisch-Partenkirchen traditionally hosts the second event of the German-Austrian
Four Hills Tournament on the last and first day of the year. And the tradition continues in the season 2023/2024.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen has been included in the ski jumping world cup schedule since the beginning of the world cup in 1980 and has been a regular host in the World Cup ever since. Garmisch-Partenkirchen has hosted the second event of the Four Hills Tournament even longer, since the season 1952-1953.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen has also hosted the Olympic Winter Games back in 1936.
After Garmisch the tournament continues Innsbruck, Austria, with qualification on Wednesday the 3rd and competition on Thursday the 4th of January.
The large hill in Garmisch-Partenkirchen that is used in the men's World Cup and the Four Hills competitions is called
Große Olympiaschanze (the Great Olympic Hill). It has a hill size is 140 metres. The hill record of 144 metres is held by Poland's
Dawid Kubacki (jumped in 2022).
Garmisch-Partenkirchen Ski Jumping Four Hills 2023-2024 - Schedule & timetables
In the season 2023-2024 Garmisch-Partenkirchen will host once again the second event of the men's Four Hills Tournament in the end of December and beginning of January. The Garmisch-Partenkirchen event is also a part of the ski jumping World Cup.
The qualification for the Garmisch-Partenkirchen competition is in schedule on Sunday the 31st of December and the individual large hill competition takes place on Monday the 1st of January 2023.
