Russia selected eight men and women cross-country skiers for the Beijing Winter Olympics. No real surprises are found on the list although sprinter
Gleb Retivykh and distance skier
Andrey Melnichenko were not selected.
The Beijing Olympics cross-country events begin on the 5th of February with women's skiathlon.
