Snooker: Destroyed! 2015 world champ gives Vafaei a spanking at China Open

Snooker's 2015 world champion Stuart Bingham took Iran's Hossein Vafaei for a ride in the China Open 2nd round. The first match of the day was over before it really even began, Bingham running his opponent down 6-0.

Despite the whitewash-scoreline, breaks were at a premium, with the only score over 50 points being Bingham's 73-point break coming in the third round of the bout. Vafaei didn't earn himself a single stat-worthy break across the match.

All in all, a sticky affair where Bingham's years of experience shone through. Iran's finest barely had a look-in at any point in the match.

The other match in the morning was a bit more spicy, as Neil Robertson took care of Chinese prodigy Si Jiahui 6-2. Si's breaks across the match were 51 and 108, while Robertson knocked in 57, 89, 102 and 79.

The Aussie goes on to face the winner of Mark Selby - Kyren Wilson in the quarter-finals tomorrow on friday. Meanwhile, Bingham's opponent comes from the pairing of Chris Wakelin - Zhang Anda.
