Englishman Mark Selby has been in convincing form in snooker's China Open tournament, and the four-time world champion was displaying steely stuff against fellow countryman Stuart Bingham in the second semi-final.

The spot in the final went to the "Jester from Leicester" following a 6-2 scoreline, but Bingham seemed out of the match far before the eighth frame. The Brit was guilty of making many a mistake, which he rued after the match:

- I'm disappointed to have not taken my chances - it's necessary against a player of Mark's caliber. I was trying to play with a smile on my face, but that wasn't enough today and the balls didn't roll in my favour, the 2015 world champion summarized.

Selby now has the opportunity to become the first player to take victory at the China Open four times. His surprise opponent in the final will be world ranking number 45 Noppon Saengkham of Thailand, but Selby wasn't getting ahead of himself after his semi-final win:

- Noppon's in the final for a reason, he's played really well and gotten the better of Judd (Trump), Ronnie, (O'Sullivan), Shaun (Murphy) and Zhou (Yuelong). I remember our match from the 2020 World Championships which I won 13-12 - he played amazingly then for three sessions in succession and I barely won.

- I'm expecting more of that tomorrow. Today I played quite well, but not as well as yesterday. Stuart's game looked good until 2-2, but after that the balls didn't quite go right for him.

The China Open final takes place tomorrow in two sessions, starting at 07:00 and 12:30 UK time. Below you can also find all of the tournament's results before the final.
