Astrid Øyre Slind and Alvar Myhlback showcased their double poling prowess as they took victories at Blink Festivalen's 37,5km & 50km classic races.

Sandnes in Norway plays hosts to the traditional Blink Festivalen this week, which is a four-day international roller skiing event. The second day of competition on Thursday featured the mass starts for the women's 37,5km and the men's 50km classic style races.
The women's race ended up being a real whitewash amidst the snowy slopes, as the home country's double poling monster Astrid Øyre Slind dominated. The 38-year old finished ahead the likes of her compatriot Lotta Udnes Weng, who defeated Sweden's Stina Nilsson (3rd) and Norway's Heidi Weng (4th) in a final sprint. The trio were over 2 minutes behind Slind.
Another double poling specialist, Sweden's Alvar Myhlback took victory in the men's 50 km race. Aged just 20, the youngster finished comfortably in 1st, with his closest challengers 18 seconds behind.
The other podium positions came down to a 10-man sprint to the finish, where Norwegian's Amund Hoel (2nd) and Mikael Gunnulfsen (3rd) were strongest.
