The Milan–Cortina Winter Olympics will be held over three weeks from 4–22 February 2026. The Olympic alpine skiing competitions will take place between 7–18 February in Cortina d’Ampezzo and Bormio.
Alpine skiing has been part of the Olympic programme since the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. At the first Games, medals were awarded only in the alpine combined, but since then the range of disciplines has expanded considerably.
Alpine skiing at the 2026 Olympics – Programme & schedule
The alpine skiing events at the Milan / Cortina Winter Olympics 2026 begin on Saturday 7 February with the men’s downhill in Bormio. The women will start competing for medals the following day in downhill in Cortina d'Ampezzo.
