Snooker Northern Ireland Open 2026 - Schedule, Results & Info

The snooker season 2026/27 it truly underway now, as next up is the Northern Ireland Open 2026 between the 18th and 25th of October. This will be the second Home Nations -tournament of the season.

The series contains a total of four tournaments, with it being preceded by the English Open and followed by the Scottish Open and the Welsh Open.

The best player in terms of ranking points across all four tournaments gets a tidy extra prize of 150 000 pounds. A victory at any single Home Nations tournament is worth £100 000, so the bonus prize adds significant interest to each tournament.

The qualifiers for the Northern Ireland Open take place in England's Leicester from the 13th to the 16th of September. 32 players will advance from the qualifiers to the main tournament, while the 32 best players from the world ranking advance directly to Belfast.

All the Home Nations -tournaments have the same prize money pool, totaling to 550 400 pounds per tournament. The winner of the Northern Ireland Open 2026 will receive 100 000 pounds, while the losing finalist will settle for 45 000 pounds.
