Snooker's English Open 2026 takes place 7.-13.9.2026. Here you can find the tournament's schedule, tv & livestream info, results and more.
The English Open 2026 is a snooker ranking tournament that takes place between the 7th and 13th of September. The snooker season 2026/27 features four Home Nations -tournaments, of which this is the first. The other trio in the same trio are the
Northern Ireland Open, the Scottish Open and the Welsh Open.
The Home Nations -tournaments also feature a 150 000 pound extra prize for the player who performs best across all four tournaments. That prize goes to the player who collects the most ranking points from the four tournaments. The
British Open that finishes a day earlier isn't a part of the series.
Despite all the prize money at stake, the tournaments try to keep a slightly eased up atmosphere with a looser dress code. All the matches in the tournament are best of 7 until the quarter-finals.
The qualifiers for the English Open took place between the 25th-26th of July. The 32 best players in the world ranking make it straight in, while the remaining 32 made it through the qualifiers. The main stage of the tournament with the 64 players takes place in Brentwood.
